When Happiness is Around the Corner

I can’t count how often I wrote “life is weird, unpredictable, a roller coaster, full with surprises” in my writing. Do you agree, don’t you? I still remember on June 2023 I was crying in Sibinuang train because of my uni life. But now seeing my life on 2024, I just can smile. Things change so fast, and for the ‘unlucky’ things that happened in the past lead me to be the lucky one in the present moment. so, I am thankful for high and low that I’ve been through in my life.

December 2023, I started my new chapter as a junior high school’s teacher. I am teaching in remote area, my very first-time. I meet a lot of people with sweet and warm personality here. A place where slow living is not just a theory, but a life style.

Starting a new thing is not an easy thing. Do you remember the first day you learn to cook your favorite food? Ride a bicycle? Or learn morphology and syntax in college?  We all ever said these “Did I make it?” “Am I able?” “Every thing sucks. I can’t stand with it” “How could someone like me being able to do that!”. But still, we finish what we start.

This universe works in a magical way. May be what you need to do is only work on yourself. No need comparison. Just-focus-on-your-power. Soon or later, you’ll see, sometimes being stubborn in pursuing your dream is a thing you need to try.

Even though, at the end, you think you don’t achieve what you dream, you still have to congratulate yourself for doing such an amazing job, pursuing dreams. You will transform into someone new. And believe or not, God is preparing you for a better and extraordinary future.

For someone like me, being able to dream means that I always have a chance to live my life to the fullest, and that when happiness is around the corner.
