On 2022, I got an invitation to join a shooting in a TV Program. It is called Ragam Indonesia. It is a program that is produced by Trans 7. For that special program, I prepared my self well. I bought a new t-shirt, and cut my hair in my favorite barbershop.
It took a full day to take some part episode of Ragam Indonesia. So, I got a chance to move and feel the atmosphere of shooting in different location and theme. Here were some locations that I visited in doing this job.
- Sakolah Baruak Pariaman
It is a local ‘school’ for monkey in Pariaman. There, monkeys are trained to pick the coconut from the tree. The monkey needs to know which coconut is ready to pick. It was my first experience to have an interaction with monkey. They were kind of aggressive, I was afraid to touch them. But for I being a host in that program, I pretended that everything was okay. And last, fun fact, I don’t really like the smell of the monkey. It stayed for along moment in my hand and t-shirt. What an unique experience for me!
- Guava Garden
The second place was Guava Garden. That was the biggest garden in Padang Pariaman regency. The farmer planted a crystal guava, it was big and so sweet. There were many seedless guava trees. I and some of the other talents were directed to pick the guavas, cleaned them. After that we made a cake from this fruit. I have to say yummy in front of the camera, even though I did not like it.
So interesting. After joining this job I understand there are so many effort behind one episode in television program. Rescpect to those people who dedicate their life to this job!
